I noticed some time ago that the window panel in the rear roof section had split close to the edge near the bottom on the offside, the split was about 2.1/2 inches long. Now those of you who know me will not be surprised to hear that I instantly dismissed the idea of handing over the repair/replacement to anyone costly nono I have however recently repaired a pair of walking boots to good effect using a product called "Freesole" available from walking gear shops and of course the interweb...

I did the repair in early january and have used the car a few times since then and am happy to say that the repair appears to have held very well. It is probably only really suitable for a repair like mine, near the edge but is worth doing if the rest of the panel is OK... It could be used anywhere on the panel if you dont mind patches I suppose rolleyes

Good to know.
I had a small split in my rear window, near the bottom side. I refused to pay to have it fixed (I'm tight and would rather wait till next winter).
Any how, bought some vinyl weld to sort a seat rip and thought I'd give it a go on the window. It's worked a treat so far, we'll see how it's holding up after a few months but so far, so good.
