The last two days have been perfect down here in Exeter, so i thought last night that i would do something that have been meening to do since i bought the S, get up early on a Sat and take the Trev out for a hoon!

so i set my alarm on a Fri night for 6am. The alarm was was not good this morning though, and i did regret it for the 1st 10 mins while i talked myself into getting up.. But once out it was well worth it, not a car in sight for the 1st 30mins, the sun was out(chilly mind!) It was just me, and that fantastic V6 howl, flooring it up through the gears on a clear, great road is just perfect, i couldn't want for a better car to have done it in, I'm SO glad i went for the S.

All those horrible wet, cold, snowy days since November, all forgotton this morning as i parked up looking over the Sea..

I referee football on a Satrurday, as does my son - it was great for the two of us to take the S3 down the A38 to Ivybridge, roof down, lots of looks and thumbs up. Couldn't believe the Z4 driver though in this weather with the roof up - bet he had aircon on too hehe

I managed to persuade SWMBO that we should go in the Tiv to Carlisle on sunday for some urgent haberdashery supplies rolleyes she agreed providing I "didnt go too fast"... hehe so it was a "disciplined" drive into town and sitting around for about an hour in various shop carparks, but then my reward was the return trip, down the old A6 to Penrith to join the A686 over Hartside Pass, roof off of course, as the pace became more "spirited", I could see her going for the brakes and bracing herself into the corners hehehehe Nothing very much was said (or heard anyway...) so I might need to decorate my doghouse... scratchchin
What a great road, what a fantastic car... Love it !!!
