Xbox Live wireless

Just wondering if its worth buying the wireless adaptor, looking at it now on Amazon. Some of the threads on here about Forza online sound like too much fun to miss!
Is it worth it, is it any good? Will I lose my life into an abyss of online gaming? Am I a bad person? Why have I added it to my basket?
