ok officially started the canam built today picking up the trolley from the local welder. Boy the raw steel material was 250 EURO and the welder has earned his 80 euro well. So the trolley for 125 pounds in the classifieds is a bargain, do not build your own !
however I thought I let you know about my modifications to the ultima version, it will allow 1 or 2 pallet to slip underneath the car, so eventually you can lift the whole thing on the trolley with a fork lifter. The wheels I am using will hold the full weight of the complete car.

Your trolley worked out a little more expensive than UK versions. (Porsche materials maybe?)

New materials including wheels totalled less than £65 two months ago! (comparable Austin-Rover prices!)

actually those are german Blickle that I got from ebay for 35 EURO !! well worth around 240 euro, they are the 400 kg versions, I have attached them in the meantime, can post a pic tomorrow.
