OK, this forum seems to be the font of all knowledge so:
I'm fed up playing pc games, I've bought several recently and the majority require playstation or xbox type controllers that I can't be arsed to go and buy. The games run fine without them, except the controls are backwards. Try using a keyboard to drive and mouse to look around when playing GTA3 when you've got a perfectly useable joypad thingy to use but won't work with the limited GTA3 configuration set up. Or you need 3 hands, 2 for the gamepad, 1 for the mouse, cos the game pad doesn't have the look function.

Anyway, I'm so cheesed off with all this that I've decided to give games a miss and do something else. I'm a bit stuck as I already go to the gym, I play guitar (badly - so need an instructor for further help!), I go out with mates regularly and just need something to do in the evenings thats relaxing in the way pc games used to be before the games programmers got lazy and just ported them from one medium to another.

Suggestions not along the lines of "download pron" or "have a tank" etc would be appreciated. :-) What do you guys and girls do when you get home from work and are bored? I'm almost at the point where I'm considering doing some evening classes - except I have no money as the windows are being replaced in my flat next month. Tricky huh?

I found Vice City so much easier with keyboard + mouse --> left hand WASD for controlling movement, right hand using the mouse to look/shoot. You just need to practise smile.

How about a shuftie on eBay for some training dvds or books and get back to the guitar. Its a cheap option. I play tenor sax and try new music books when I grind to a halt.

I've started making a bit of music on my computer again, from when I was at school. Passes the time nicely. In fact you can lose days.

I'm into my photography and was hosting on Flickr and the likes. Not customisable for my own needs so decided to build website to host my pics. Learning HTML and CSS has been a challenge to say the least.

Other than that get an Xbox 360 and COD4 and a headset and wind up the Yanks and flappy head Canadians, hours of entertainment.

Design and build a trebuchet.

I learnt Python a few months ago - it's quite simple but the lack of braces is a tad confusing at first.
