After a full body off restoration I want to get the old girl resprayed. Before she moves to Malta. Unfortunately I am being quoted silly money! Has anyone had a good respray at a sensible cost! Seems that the recession has not affected prices regarding body work!
Cheers

Whats silly money, what the rate of exchange to serling?

I'm affraid to get a first class job done ie doors off, bonnet off, hood off etc its going to be in the region of £3.5k (Option 1). I would suggest Option 1 nr Bromsgrove or D&C in Blackpool (ex TVR)

the origenal blue colour on my car is ok, its just the clear laquer that needs respraying, ive done it before, with exellent results, a few runs,
a bit of orange peel affect, can all be rubbed down smooth, then a good rubbing compound/tcut, looks new, have a go on something else 1st, something
thats already painted, like a kids bike

I have just had my S2 resprayed by Customs & Classics Guilden Morden Herts. and the finish is superb doors, bonnett and boot lid removed. I had the colour changed from Arctic white to Ferrari Red and you would think it had always been that colour.
