First thing to do is get a cat back sports system and a new pair of MAF's!

The induction and sports cats ect wont give any power, just cost you loads of cash, just make sure its fully serviced with good pads, tyres ect and enjoy it!

If you decat it, it will fail the MOT and bring the engine light on-nothing to gain.

Val

There's mine of information on tuning etc.. on the www.m5board.com website. First things first(Hoping that I'm not teaching granny to suck eggs), make sure that the car has been checked over pretty closely. I understand that there were Vanos issues with the pre 2001 cars. Rectification costs would make your eyes water. Not sure, but I think BMW rectified the issue with a recall. Do a search on the above board and that will explain the problem/solution in more detail.

If you want more power then you should get Supersprint headers
and a remap.

If that is not enough..... then get this:

That would be the one with the SPECS section comprising almost 40 sets of cameras over 32miles stretching from just North of Ayr to just South of Girvan.

Your M5 time may be cut short wink

Ps. You did see them didn't you?

He lives in Southern Ireland so I doubt they'll bother, and even if they do they won't be able to ban him or give penalty points.
