Just had this through on email;

The Russian chairman of supercar manufacturer Spyker survived an assasination attempt last week in which he was shot seven times.

Alexander Antonov was hit five times in the stomach, once in the chest and a finger was shot off as he left his home in Moscow. One of his security guards was also wounded.

His business interests include the bank which is a majority shareholder of Spyker, which manufactures its supercars in Holland.

Shot seven times but survived?

Was it a 9mm SMG?

Are these known for not doing the job?

It's Sten gun which is unreliable. I'd still not want to be shot by one though.

But they are very good at taking fingers off! Normally the little one on the right hand of the bloke holding it.

It was said that the rounds from this would be stopped by a wet greatcoat.

Yes the folding stock was a menace, but getting the cocking handle back in after stripping it was the real challenge.

I've heard that said, but I could never get anyone to stand at the end of a range and try it out hehe

I thought only heads of state could be assasinated? Isn't it murder the rest of the time?

Only if the victim actually dies.

Normally assasination if they're vaguely famous. Only this isn't on account of the bloke still being alive.

Oh yes you can.

Had LHO shot one of his arresting officers in the arm, that officer would have been wounded by an assassin
