Could someone please let me know how easy it is to change the front brake pads on a 993 turbo. I may need to do this myself this week before a track day on Friday.

I had heard that the procedure should be quite quick, without the need for special tools - is this correct ?

All advice appreciated!

Yeah, its fairly easy. Just take the wheels off, unclip the metal spring the locks them in, and slide them out. Its a tight fit, but if you first compress the calipers , its not so bad. Lots and lots of wiggling to get them out.

Thanks for the response!

What about the anti-squeal shims? - do these slide out along with the pads?
