I have the standard locking nuts off a rover for my tuscan. The local tyre monkey must have used an airgun to fit the wheel last year, and I just went to remove it. Its fecked. Does anyone have a std rover/tvr locking key laying about its got number 29 stamped on the top of the key, I can travel to meet up and remove the old nuts. Or pay postage both ways on the key. Going to give RG, Fernies etc a call too...

Or do as I did once with a car I bought without the key and get someone to lightly tack weld a nut on the top of the offending lock nut and then spanner it off.

Most decent garages also keep sockets which you put over a locking wheel nut and which cut into it as you try to undo it. It trashes the locking wheel nut but I'm sure thats the last thing you care about right now.
Worth giving a few local garages a ring.

Thanks wil go down that route if I have to. Have actually found them new from MG specialist for £20 inc postage, so unless I get one cheaper from a few quotes I'm getting back to me, will go with that.

For future reference for anyone, the mg place is
