How can you find out if a decree nissi has been lodged?
My other half is going through a divorce and nothing has been heard for a good few months. Other party won't answer phone or have any contact about it.
We are hoping to get married later this year and it really should have all gone through by now.
In Northamptonshire, in case it makes any difference.
Thanks.

It can take a while mate. My Mrs has just had her divorce complete and got the letter today.
If i was you get in touch with your solicitor to chase it up
She's not using a solicitor as its uncontested and they've been split for ten years. If i was you get in touch with your solicitor to chase it up
Its was the husband that applied for it but all gone quiet now.

For example, has she sorted out severing the tenancy on the place she had with her ex (presuming it wasn't tenanted - if it *was* a shared tenency, is her name still on the tenancy agreement?)? I speak from "the character-building side of" experience on this one
