Baroness Warsi condemns soldier protest "nutters"
Discussion
Nice to hear and she puts it very clearly. Interesting point about the number of leaflets to protesters ratio. This is the stuff that doesn't get reported.

I saw one of the organisers on TV last night condemning various 'British' actions. If he dislikes Britain so much why can't he f
k off to somewhere more to his liking? It really gets me. I think people should be welcomed into our country regardless of race and religion, but only if they want to contribute something to the UK. If you don't like the UK, why move there? It's like a fundamentalist christian deciding they want to move to Tehran or something. It makes no sense.

I wouldn't go so far as to disuade citizens from criticising the country in which we live. We do it all the time here on PH - and we're not all natives. I saw one of the organisers on TV last night condemning various 'British' actions. If he dislikes Britain so much why can't he f

Criticism of the government is an essential part of democracy. Everybody who lives under that government is entitled to have their say - whether you agree with their opinions or not.

there are 1000's of Muslims, Jews, Hindu's Sikhs etc, all who retain their cultural identity, but also integrate and contribute to the culture of this country shaping it as we go along.
i also don't understand people who preach here with hatred and bile, who want to turn London into down town Tehran but without the decent weather.
I really think the media made too much of this. The vast majority of the crowed were supportive of the soldiers. The news media could have concentrated on that with a short mention that a small group of protesters were also present. All this kind of coverage do to to inflate already hostile feelings and give the nutters much more publicity than they deserve.
