looking for polyurathane bushes for the s3 and came across this company POLYMAX they appear to have a large selection of different shapes and size bushes and also SEMI BONDED KPSB BUSHES which look similar the the rear radius arm bushes on the car but need to remove mine first to measure up worth alook kev

Hi, I'm in Redditch, not a million miles from you I believe. Just getting bits together for bit of a re-fit when weather bit warmer (have to work outside- little garage) do you have a trailing arm removed we could try one in ?

Did these work? If so which ones did you buy and fit (dimensions or part number etc) as this will be my job for next winter and adding the supplier to the alternative parts list will help

Short answer is I don't know yet Mark !
The big strip down starts next weekend. chap at Polymax was very helpful,bushes I bought are their part no. KPSB301463 by buying eight I got price down to £6.76 plus of course postage and vat.
So very soon I shall know if I got a bargain or am the proud owner of eight totally useless bushes, will keep you informed.

you could machine cut them under half way and fit two to give the correct length - at least that way they are not completely scrap

you could make a spacer washer to slide between the bush face and the face of the wishbone bracket once everything is tightend i am sure it will be fine.

Right, the inner sleeve of these bushes is 70mm, in my excitement I didn't measure across old bushes before anialating them with the cutting torch ( they were in TIGHT ). Normans 3-4 mm gap confirs with a drawing TonUps2 sent me ( two bushes each 36.7 = 73.4mm.) However, having measured all four gaps between brackets on my chassis I got measurements between 71 and 71.5mm ! So,certainly not enough to go to all the trouble of cutting in half and making a spacer and in reallity barely enough to even bother with a small spacer one end.In fact tried bolting a bush betweem the brackets and they "flexed" un-noticeably to close the gap.
Therefore in conclusion I'm feel quite confident to fit them to my car, Norman currently has the other set and first option on them, If you're not happy with them Norman think it fair I offer them to Aero340 who started this whole thing.

Thanks Mike, I have access to a proper hydraulic press so it shouldn't be too much trouble for pressing in. I have asked for a quote for 4, 8 and 12 off so if others are after them let me know and I'll post the price on here when I have it.

Yes but they only had four left on the shelf and a re-order minimum quantity is 100 as they make them themselves in batches so I'm afraid I got mine but none for anyone else. They were £42ish all in including p&p and Vat
