Audi replacement keys, how much?????
Discussion
Now i've recovered from the shock...
We have an old R reg A4 estate, central locking, but not a zapper, its a key in the door job.
Apparently the immobiliser chip in the key is proving to be a little difficult and the car is not always recognising it, therefore a replacement key is required.
Audi seem to firstly, want me to jump through hoops to get the thing ordered, and secondly, dry f*ck me to the tune of £160 for the privilage
I've heard a lot of mixed stories about whether other places can do this directly at a fraction of the cost, but no-one seems to be able to give me a definative answer. Does anyone know?
This is our old runabout car, and I would prefer not to 'waste' £160 on a key alone...
