Right guys I have been in contact with JKM down in portsmouth about a possible rolling road day if there is enough interest. Below is the reply I got from Kate down there:

Details Rolling Road Day Events are as follows:

The day normally kicks off at around 9am

Minimum of 10 cars - Maximum of around 20-25 cars.

£35 for 3 back to back runs (some cars depending on what they are will take longer to strap down and will be £45 but I can advise if there are any on the interested list that may be charged this rate) - cash preferred on the day to speed payments up.

As mentioned Front Wheel Drive cars preferred on the day though if we have sufficient demand we can turn the dyno around for rear wheel drive cars.

The dyno is a 2 wheel drive dyno and has a small ramp which leads up to it. Any cars which are very low will not get on the dyno.

You will receive a colour print out of the best run.

Free Tea/Coffee/Biscuits will provided all day

Past results etc can be found here: http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/GalleryRollingro...

The location is as follows:

JKM Motor Services Ltd
Bolde Close
Copnor
Portsmouth
Hampshire
PO3 5RD

If people are interested I will sort a date out for this. Put your name, car and FWD or RWD.

1) Luke - Golf VR6 - FWD

If anyone knows of a company with a 4 wheel drive rolling road that may be interested in running a day post there details up and I will look into it.

I'm off to Eurospec in Guildford next Saturday HERE

There is also Triton at Hern Airport and Tuning Japanese in Aldershot to name a few. They are Marmite to some (you either love them or hate them) so be prepared for some "I'm not going to them cos.....blah...blah...blah".

Keep on it tho Luke, sound like a good reason for a meet.

I've been in Contact with Triton motorsport at Hurn who say that group's are not a problem its £40 per car for less than 15 or £35 for over 15, their rolling road can handle 1200bhp per axle, so even the lambo's viper's and German cars of this world! They can do fwd rwd and obviously 4wd. I've got a few local PH'ers who I'm sure will be up for it!
shout fao Diablo Pete, a burger van can be provided if enough attend!

Had a session at Triton a few years back. Quite tight in the workshop and ramp up caused a bit off problems for the really low.

Great burgers tho wink

I've only ever seen VERY optimistic figures that come out of Triton.
Great for pub talk.

I'd be up for a run on Triton's RR as its nice and local to me. Not heard anything about how accurate (or not!) they are but as with all RR's, its still good for comparing on the day.
