Our Mini warranty is about to expire. Is it worth renewing? Costs are between £326-£443 depending on level of cover. Any thoughts welcome.

People have always told me that the BMW/Mini warranty is bullet proof, and a lot of people wouldnt be without one.

The possibility of a problem with the engine/gearbox is not huge, but the price sure would be if something did happen to it.

On the other hand, I like living on the edge, and that is why when in a months time and my MINI warranty expires, I will not be renewing it.

Instead I will do the few little mods I have been wanting to do which I could not do previously when the car was in warranty

What is the warranty period on the Mini? The reason I ask is that my car was redgistered in June 05 and I received my letter informing me my warranty expires next month, 4 years after redgistration.

I thought the warranty period was 5 years on TLC, is this not correct?

Hi

Warranty as standard is three years. TLC pack is not a warranty it simply provides the servicing for a five year period. If you bought the Mini from a Mini dealer they will provide an additional years warranty if the car is over three years old.

Not sure if that answers the question??

Now need to start looking for a new warranty or work out if I want to go down the brave route and not bother.
