I shall be winging over to Taylor TVR (15 minutes from Dartford towards Dover - www.taylortvr.co.uk) when I get my Cerb all sorted.

Try Chris at Centre Gravity

http://www.centergravity.co.uk

I run a TVR Chim and Porsche GT3. The GT3 was an absolute animal to drive when i bought it but Chris is an total expert and half a day later it was like driving a totally different car. This is all they do so they have to do it right unlike garages that do mech work etc.

Cheers
Andy

Sorry for the thread hijack but I need to get this done when the cerb is back in one piece. Can anyone recommend anyone in the Sussex/Surrey area?

Absolutely Shocks might be worth googling - Derek's somewhat of a Gaz expert I believe.

Really? He's posted on here recently and has a few eBay listings up confused

Would appreciate a PM if you have a minute.

Changing the shocks has no affect to the steering geometry of the car, only the ride characteristics. The change in steering feel is down to the new wheels fitted and there respective offsets.

Probrably the effective wheel centre line where it intersects the road surface has moved outwards away from the hub king pin axis line where it also intersects the road surface. The distance between the intersection points is generall araound 15mm.

Somtimes this problem can be overcome by adjusting the wheel Camber and Castor angles, if it is too severe you will have to change the wheels ensuring a wheel offset similar to the current wheel is obtained.

Mark, check out DTS in Worthing. Dean there had a Hunter 600 tracking machine and also owns a Cerb.

Does mine for me when required.

YHM too

For the information of all, Absolutely Shocks Ltd is no longer trading its core business of selling to the trade because a number of customers have gone to the wall owing large sums of money and frankly I am not in a position to service any more bad debts, I have given all the existing customers over to Gaz and others to deal with and shrinking back to retail on my Ebay shop.
