Traction Control?

Do TVR put traction control on Tuscans or any of their cars?

Hmm, that's not a very considered opinion is it?

Nothing wrong with TC - it has it's place.

I retro fitted Racelogic's TC on my 300zx and it is fantastic, and switchable, so if you want to hoon around it's easy enough just turn the bugger off, and no, I do not have it on my Chim, if it was as easy as fitting was to the Zed then I would have seriously considered it.

Factory fitted traction control is usually known as driver's right foot.

No reason why an owner couldn't retro fit. Would have thought this would limit its second hand appeal, mind. I, for one, wouldn't bother with this one when I look for my next car.

I know what you mean, but my Zed is pushing 360ish at the flywheel with nothing but an LSD to control the power. After having fishtailed down the road on more than one occasion I decided that TC would be a good idea as I was using the car every day covering 25,000 miles within the first year of ownership.

Racelogic's TC is an excellent system, that as I said can be switched off. Something that I do when on track, but it's also set on 0% slip in the snow and 10% for normal road use.

I agree that in the aneathesised euroboxes that use electronics to control everything the driving experiece is dulled, but I would say that having the option on the type of cars we are discussing here is reassuring if nothing else.

Steve Heath seems to think it's quite a good set up too - I would suggest you read his article in 'the Bible'.

there is a Tuscan owner who fitted traction control and documented it on here. He did a wet airfield track day and spanked everything there including caterhams etc around the corners.

Were TVR not considering switchable traction control for the T440R ?? That would turn it into another bloody hairdressers car in our bloody nanny state.

The airfield guy did not do everyone, the eletronic box did - If you need TC, might I suggest a nice Volvo.

I have Traction control in my nice V6 mondeo thank you Jon. You can see how the Tuscan behaves later when I drive you to the Ace cafe. Did I tell you my rear S02's are nearly bald

My other car is a Mondeo too....and nothing wrong with that!!! However, I have been out and about in the TVR all week down to see McLaren and Shaguar burning through lots of petrol and rubber!

Yes, I thought it was funny that there was the GT40, Ron Dennis' car and then the TVR right outside reception. At Shaguar I'd had to park amongst the masses. Off to Jordan on Monday so will see where I end up there...now where are those TVR keys..

I have Racelogic TC on my Ultima. You can see it in action on the vid clip done by EdT on TVRbliss. Works well when set correctly (this takes ages) but will not save you from being an idiot. Good in the wet with 525bhp
