Ok, well after my first picture wasnt the best quality, I've been out again and got some more.

These seem better, so if anyone fancies working some photoshop magic on them, I'd be extremely grateful. smile

Click for slightly bigger versions. It wont let me upload the original size pics. frown

Thanks. smile

P.S - Pic 5 can be downloaded in 3624 x 2448 resolution from here: http://www.2shared.com/file/4998277/e2add768/DSC02...

Fair play for getting straight back out there. Number 5 is pick of the bunch for me. What is it you think needs reworking (OK, so white balance is off in some of them)?

Yup, no 5 gets my vote - just given it here a little oomph, but original is a nice shot!

I dont know what needs doing really? I like what CivicMan has done there, looks mint. smile

Any chance you could PM me a high res copy?

I guess it just needs a little sprucing, to make it all look crisper, can anything be done with the sky?

Awsome shots... love them...

I personally hate orange skies at night on shots like that... If I was shooting in Camera RAW correcting that using white balance and temperature is fairly easy...

I have had a go with this one:

Sky colour corrected
Saturation and brightness of background fiddled with
car sharpened up a bit
cropped to help lead the eye into the car and not to the lit up bit or the arc...

I like the first one, nice composition with the position of the car within the arc.

Thanks, I'm pleased with the results considering the equipment used (£10 tripod and a Sony Cybershot)

Just hoping a little photoshop wizardry will help things further. Thanks to those who have had a go - I'm very grateful. smile

As I said, I guess I'm just after a little more light on the car, to bring out the red and maybe a little work on the lighting / sky / backround?

What do people think about keeping the car red, with the background b/w? Or do you think the light of the bridge makes the picture?

I'm talking about pic 5 by the way. smile

Although I do like pic 1 and the work tegwin has done!

I've just uploaded a full size copy of pic five to here: http://www.2shared.com/file/4998277/e2add768/DSC02...

Thought that might be better for people PhotoShopping with, because its much higher quality to start with than the one hosted on photobucket. smile

Here's my quick version. More sky but a bit of noise has crept in.

If want the full size one let me know and I'll send it to you.

I had a bit of a play around. My main thought was that the building to the right of the arch rather spoilt the clean lines.

Another go - similar to the last, but I'm finding that's my style.

It's a better view from that (the Newcastle) side of the bridge too. It's just a shame you can't get a car further down river to get the car, bridge and the Sage!

That is a cracking location! This second stab is so much better than the first that I reckon if you really hunt around there'll be an even better, one that really has the 'wow' factor! Nice car too!

Nice work! thumbup
