Guys,

Have been asked by The Children's Trust to find out if anyone would like to take part in a Charity day detailed below.

It's on May 16th from 10am to 4.30pm.

Hope you can make it. I'll start a list. Shall we cap it at 10? I've been asked to coordinate this and it's only for Ults from our crew.

Is it just to turn up? or is it actually being allowed out on the track and taking others out?

Either way, i'd be quite keen as not been to a meet before in my Spyder?

Craig.

Sorry - yes, we will be giving the rides!! I think they get £15 per ride. You get to play on the circuit and do a tanks of fuel!!! But don't let that stop people who just want to show and shine. There will be plenty of people there wanting to just look at the cars and talk about them!!

I expect it's a case of giving the impression of speed - not setting any lap times!! Just remember that. smile

Edited to add:
I quote "There are various sponsorship and advertising opportunities available for this event...", so I take it we will be sporting the "LuckyP Racing" logos;)

I'll probably be bored of racing or crashed the car by then (or have no licence (the hearing was today - find out tomorrow). But YES, I'll be logo'd up but the Ult will stay black - all BLACK!!

I'd love to do this but unfortunately I'm away in Oslo that weekend (a trip the wife organised. I'm also missing the London to Brighton Mini run, a major event when you have 4 (classic) Minis in the family!)

This sounds a bit like the Bruntingthorpe charity day I do each year, which is great fun and raises loads of cash. I'm up for it - would be good to meet a few more of you guys as well. Yellow GTR LS7.

Are you guys going to see if GTRCLIVE is going. News for you guys is that his car won't be quite ready as he is still playing in the new workshop and was over yesterday to borrow some drywall screws as he didn't buy enough.(Does anyone know if there is a little Scotish blood in that family?) Just giving a yank on your pisser there Clive, but you should put your longjohns on and get out to the workshop and finish that car. At this rate we will have all 3 of our cars finished again before you. Couldn't resist that last yank.

In the old english (where you are from) isn't drywall called "plasterboard"
Most of you guys would drool at what Clive has done with his workshop and he has done alot better than I was expecting, all by himself.

And I wasn't dropping car names "TVRs" but I will have all 3 of mine back on the road at least "once each" before you get your wheels on. And yes I already have their next appointments booked for their repairs, but I don't know what those repairs will be yet. (See some of us from the colonies know what you have to prepare for as a TVR owner.) I just might have to sneek down some night with me picture machine and peek into that side window of your workshop to see what you really are doing in there.

You should consider making that booking with Clive.
If you think he's good at building work it's not a patch on his abilities working on cars.
