Hi,

I am looking to borrow my friends Audi R8 for the day. I am 24 years old and have 7 years no claim bonus with no speeding fines etc.
Can any recommend an insurance company which can give me insurance for the day?

Thanks

In my experience ytou will find it tricky to insure a car that you don't own. You may find it easier to get yourself added to your friends policy, most insurers will do that.

If you want to insure it yourself, then I would try Adrian Flux, you could also ask your own insurer if they will cover you on your friends car after all they know you drive a TVR at the moment, and an R8 will be much more predictable in handling.

Cheapest option IMO would be for the owner to add you for a day (try for 7 then you can have more fun!)and you pay him..... as the insured risk is a known factor, just adding a variable.
Whereas if you insure it for the day, no doubt, you will charged for taking on the whole risk + some easy readies for Mr Insurer..
