I ve just convinced the wife to go to Le mans is it possible to get a hotel?
The reason being is that we went to the belguim Grand prix in 1999 the toilets were covered in shit as was everything else ended up sleeping in the car I really want to go but the only way I can convince the wife is with a hotel
(we were looking at a week in eypgt before I convinced her of Le mans)

We put the wives in the Holiday Inn in the centre of Tours - 40 mins drive South of the circuit. An easy and pleasant drive up to the circuit and Tours has a lovely sqaure, shopping, restaurants etc. Good compromise. The hotel is very ordinary but well placed. Being South of Le Mans is a must if you're driving up to the circuit IMHO to avoid the traffic through Le Mans itself.
Only downside is getting to Tours is a bit further than Le Mans. We messed up and went via Paris to avoid Le Mans - on a Friday at about 5pm. BIG MISTAKE. Plan your route carefully and it should be fine.
Edited because as I typed that it seemed like such a good idea that I've just booked two rooms from Thursday to Monday and the room's only €80/night
