I need an old damaged and faded photo restored so I can produce a canvas for a client of mine. I have been unable to get a response from this company: http://www.photo-wonder.com/restoration.html the examples I have seen of theirs are fantastic, they surely cannot be simply down to the skills of a Photoshop user can they?

See it's vaguely easier to use Photoshop than assemble all those people back together a century later......

Just be wary that by the same means they use to make the 'after' shot look good, they could also make the 'before' look worse.

Clearly photoshop. Not a bad thing by any means, but do watch out as they do seem to overdo it in a few of the pictures. In some of the black and white ones they've made the skin tone so soft that it completely lacks definition and therefore looks very artificial, even at the small sizes presented on their website. Likely to be far more noticable on a fullsize print.
