I was in Argos earlier(I know...) and they are doing a TZ3 for £163 - I have been in the market for a reasonable happy snappy with a good lens but the reviews of this camera are all over the place, any views on here?

Ta.

Ps, I know this is a runout price as the TZ range is being replaced.

£163 seems like a good price, the cheapest on camerapricebuster is £179.

I've owned a TZ5 for a while and it's an absolute cracker - it's obviously a later model than the TZ3 with all that entails, and is showing at £195. If you can run to the extra £30 it's well worth it, but if not, the TZ3 does a good job.

I don't think there is a lot to choose between compact cameras like that. Looking at this review it doesn't seem to have any major faults except for high ISO noise, something that is a problem in every compact digital camera. Lens goes decently wide too.

I've got a TZ3 and the only time it will get replaced is when it dies from over useage and old age!!

It really is a fantastic camera, superb Leica lens, great quality shots and dead easy to use.

I recommend it and the TZ5 to anyone!!

You are going to love this!!!

I thought I would go with it.....but everywhere was showing out of stock. I saw the offer, originally, on a shelf in the store so popped down and there 1 was. I asked if they did Nectar points and they said you could cash them in if you had them - now, I do a lot of Super Unleaded so over the card goes...£123 worth of points and a TZ3 for £40!!!!
