Been doing bits and pieces myself but it doesn't look much different to you before pic. Nice standard to aim for.

An artist at work. Wow. How much did the hoses cost (are they samco?) and where did you get them ? Did you replace parts such as alternator etc or were they cleaned or is this merely a few hours using Photo shop ?

Just kidding an excellent looking engine bay puts mine to shame for sure hey maybe next winter I'll be able to match it. Enjoy the spring/summer ride looks like you've earned it.

Cheers

Hi Jaye, your engine bay looks brilliant, one question though..your brake master cylinder reservoir is remote from the master cylinder itself! was this done by TVR or did you move it? if you did it what are the advantages?
Cheers.....Tony..

Tony

The reservoir was in that position when I bought the car, so I can honestly say I have no idea whether there is any advantage to having it where it is.

The master cylinder/reservoir arrangement is standard on some (earier I think) S series the servo/master cylinder is from the SAAB 9000 and is now unobtainable. The alternative arrangement of intigrated reservoir/master cylinder is Ford Fiesta which is available but you have to make some modifications.

See Richard Jarvis's excellent thread here

Knowing TVR could well just have been whats in the parts bin today

If anyone wants their rocker covers powder coating I have just invested in a blast cabinet (when I put it together) and have a local guy who does powder coating (he did my chassis etc).
Obviously not appropriate to advertise blatantly on here so drop me a PM if it is of interest.

A lovely job; all you need now is a transparent bonnet and its sorted!! I assume you got a new swan neck and didn't just clean up the old one?

id be interested in info on your blast cabinet. is it a kit type (Frost etc) or a complete type like Clarke, Sealey etc that needs bolting together?

i looked at the clarke versions, but none of them could get a wheel in except the huge types that i could get half a car in and need a mortgage to pay for, so im looking at making a cabinet.

Yes I've bought the frost one that you have to build yourself - I'm hoping to make a start tomorrow.
The kit is fairly basic but has everything required.
You get basically a 2 foot cube so a wheel should fit in easily.
