GTR seat position

I was wondering, having never sat in a GTR about the seat position and comfort that one has when sitting in a GTR? My car is currently under construction and I have never actually sat in a completed car. Can anyone elaborate on what the seat position is like? How comfortable is the car for longer drives?

i cant believe anyone buys or builds a car without driving or being driven in one!!

if you are tall you may struggle, have you got a lowered floor, the Ultima seats are really the only way to go as they are made to fit etc i had some others fitted and they were horrible compared to the Ultima ones i replaced them with.

When deciding to get involved with the Ultima GTR, I made my decision on performance and performance alone. Everything else is secondary to me. I thought that I would ask the question though

sI took my car from London to LeMans and back last year and had no problems with comfort. I'm 6' 2" and have the lowered floor in my car this gave me plenty of headroom. I know that you have your priorities performance etc but should try to get your backside in one asap.

I'm only 5'9" so I know I will fit. I need to take a trip to see the Ultima boys though, I agree wholeheartedly.

can someone shine some light on what is meant with lower floor ?
Is that the lowered part around the pedals that I have seen in the built diaries ?

Lowered floor os the area under the seats - the floor pan if you like. 2 inches lower with a lowered floor. A must for your taller drivers.

My longest drive was a 900 mile non stopper from Surrey to Rimini - seats are extremely comfortable - especially is you carry some internal padding!!

Lowered floor is standard nowadays so it'll be on yours Spatz I assume.

I see you are on the US web site and there are four other members in your state.
There has to be someone nearby you could visit.

But back to the question.
Had my GTR almost four years now and the padding under my back side is getting a little thin so I think I will need to stuff some more in. Other than that the seat and car fit like a glove.

Too bad you're not closer. It would be fun to get together. I'm sure you'll fit just fine in the GTR. I'm 6'1" and my son is 6'3" and we both fit fine with a helmet on. You'll probably use the seat runners and have some room behind the seat for extra storage. If you haven't already done so, you should take a minute to contact Jeff Schwartz. He is a great source for stuff LS7 and is very reliable and trustworthy and oh yes, a lot less expensive than AS. Are you having them add a lot of insulation (heat and sound) to the build? I would highly recommend it unless you're just going for the lightest most radical machine possible.
