Hi,

I guess this question has been asked a few times before, but couldnt find anything in search.

I wanted to know if X360 games are region coded? Reason I ask is that I want to buy Race Pro here in the US, but have a UK x360 that I want to run it on. Will it work?

Also - I'm guessing that Race Pro wont be out on the PS3 - otherwise I'd wait for that.

Region free games will work on all machines, but many are locked to PAL or NTSC

It's not a bang up to date list, but here is an example..

I would expect using VGA as an output would get around this, presumably HDMI is also not affected?

Doesn't come down to output method, but a lock on the game itself, no EA game to date has been region-free, but all Ubisoft ones have. www.videogamesplus.ca is a Canadian-based site that tests every new game that comes out to see if it's region-free and their prices used to be really cheap compared to ours (same with the Hong-Kong based sites like renchi and play-asia.) but the result of the falling pound is that these aren't quite such good value anymore.

Yes, thanks to Steve I managed to pick up COD4 and PGR4 for around 23 pounds delivered brand new.
