I've had the misfortune to go in a few times, they always seemed completely empty.

Shame as they were making a big push towards golf stuff (I know, not a PH favourite), got some prices that nobody else could match on some good golf kit.

Still, I can't say I'll miss them.

An utter abomination of a "sports" retailer.
Been in one of their stores twice . . . once to (try and) buy a set of swim paddles after I left a pair at home on the way to the pool and once to get a pair of footie socks on the way to a 5 aside match (I'm a forgetful f**ker ).
In the first instance the fat, unathletic assistant didn't even know what swim paddles were and in the second, I begrudgingly handed over a fiver to another fat, unathletic assistant after being completely bowled over at how much shop floor space was devoted to shell suits.
Awful place.

Have you actually read the story? Its the OSC and Qube stores that are closing, not JJB.

Im not a fan of JJB stores, but their Gyms are very good value for money compared to the other chains.....
