And getting reminded of what a horrid thing the new c-class steering wheel is , whats the nicest wheel you have guided a car with ?

1st has to be the nardi wooden wheel i had im my mazda , sheer joy letting it slip through the fingers on opposite lock !

also love the bmw z4 wheels , nice and chunky to hold and comfortable

the mk1/1.5 focus steering wheel was another nice chunky wheel , always used the top spokes as thumb rests smile

the latest focus wheel is as nice to hold with nice shiney bits smile

I think the best one I've had so far is this, from the 156:

Quartic?

Each to their own but I think wooden wheels in "modern" cars are awful.

In my experience BMW wheels are too chunky , a little thinner would be better...

Look at this monstrosity !

The old mondeo steering wheel was excellent, perfect size to hold.

I always loved my Chimaera's standard leather wheel. Felt right.

YES! Funny you should this. Had a 2.5 for a week and the steering wheel did feel "satisfying" to hold.

Have tried the smaller and normal sized ones and they both feel great to hold. I actually have a spare one (I have no idea where I got it from) and am in two minds about whether to keep it for my next sporty car or sell it.

I know i'll probably be frowned upon, but I do miss my old alcantara retrimmed wheel from my old ST

The half alcantara jobby in my R26.R isn't bad either, makes the most of what really is quite a bad looking wheel.

The wheel in my mum's 123d M-sport Coupe is quite nice, but i'm not sure if it's actually a bit too thick rimmed for it's own good. I'm sure the same wheel in the M3 has had a bit of stick from journos and drivers in the past.

Is there a single feature of that car that does not ooze coolness?!
