the C4S is the only turbo bodied naturally aspirated 911

that's only correct for 996, question was about 997 in which case C4 is also widebody and naturally aspirated. As for earlier models, 3.2 Supersport (all body styles) was NA and wide/turbo body, as were 964 Celebration and 993 S and 993 C4S

So, in 997...
- C2 and C2S are narrow body
- C4 and C4S are wide body
- S are more powerful than non S
The S have 3.8 and the nons have 3.6 in the 997- C2 and C2S are narrow body
- C4 and C4S are wide body
- S are more powerful than non S
All 997 S have wide body
4wd have wide bodies whether S or not
The 2S and C2 have narrow bodies

C4S is the only turbo bodied car in 996 guise, C4 is just a carrera that is 4 wheel drive.
C2S is narrow bodied in 997 guise, albeit a little wider track than the 996, and again the C4S is the only turbo bodied naturally aspirated 911
Now, tell him to get us a pint in
The 996 C4S is also 5mm longer than a regular Carrera.C2S is narrow bodied in 997 guise, albeit a little wider track than the 996, and again the C4S is the only turbo bodied naturally aspirated 911

The 996 C4S only came out on the facelift, when the standard car also got different bumpers so was longer than before (if you ever see an early car fitted with late tailpipes they stick out too far and look silly) so you may have measurements for early standard cars and late wide ones (hence late standard car would be the same). they have different wheel and offset sizes that give the impression that the S is wider
The C4S I think is 44mm wider than a C2S
The 997 Turbo has a different body than a 997 C4S

Nope.... the 997 and 997 S share the same bodies!

Given that the bodysheel must cover the entire width of the tyres (as an MOT requirement if nothing else) the difference can't possibly be attributable solely to the wheels/tyres since the widest part of the car must be the bodyshell and not the wheels/tyres.they have different wheel and offset sizes that give the impression that the S is wider
The C4S I think is 44mm wider than a C2S
