Quick question for those running Emerald in Adaptive
Discussion
I've been playing around with the closed loop settings on my Emerald setup today and after reading around the various K series engine sites, I've found quite a few differing opinions in what should be used. Has anyone else had a play with these settings? At the moment, I've got a couple of issues with the system taking a bit too much fuel out on very light throttle + low revs. Its nothing serious but it can make the car a little lumpy around town. So far I've tried limiting the correction level to 5% and have reduced the correction gain but I still haven't sorted it!
Here's a copy of the page I'm refering to:

target within 1 afr sounds a bit wide .. if you wanted 14.7:1 it could be 13.7 to 15.7 and still learn a trim value. also if you have a problem with it going weak at certain revs why can't you just richen the target afr at those load sites? also your speed and load integers are widely set at 64, thats the outside of the larger circle on the live mapping screen crosshair target, at larger throttle openings that's not such an issue, but at light throttles/low revs i've always found that going down to a smaller target means it only learns when it's very close to the target cell, not near the edges of it, if you see what I mean.

Takes a while to get there but is pretty satisfying watching the AFR nudging in the right direction as you simply drive the car and update from the table every so often (I was doing this after my regular run to/from work).

Thanks for the reply Joo, these aren't my settings, they are ones from a caterham tuning website. I'm running with a 0.1 AFR 'target within', and a slightly lower update rate but otherwise I think its about the same. So what sort of values do you think I should be using? The AFR map is correct, and its not this that's causing the system to run too lean, it's more that the system overshoots its mark, and then struggles to get back up to target. I'm told that this can be caused by having too high an update rate or correction gain but I'm not sure why...
Any ideas?

Hi Nick
I would try opening up the target AFR within value to 0.25 instead of 0.1 and increase the refresh rate if you can, it sounds like the system is trying a bit too hard and your setting are within the 'noise band' of the sensor so its struggling.
Also altering the integer values sounds like a way forward as well
