I'm after a luxury set, thick pile, stitched edges rather than the webbing, that sort of thing.
Ebay seems to be awash with the usual garbage advertised as 'the best', 'the finest' etc yadda, yadda.....so thats out of the question.
The OEM options, whilst providing an excellent fit, are just not thick enough. I'm after thick, luxurious wool.
Anyone here know of such a company out there ?

Looks like polypropelyne that stiffens and bends over time.
Why the recommendation ? Have you used them in the past ?

Bit too 'Barry' and not enough colour choice on the 'executive range' for my tastes mate, but thanks.

If you want decent stuff, I'd find a decent car trimmer and get some bespoke ones made, from proper Wilton carpet.

The only guy I have used myself is David Nightingale, but there are plenty of others out there. Basically all you want is a small (in domestic terms) piece of carpet, cut to shape and edged correctly. You could do it yourself if you're handy with a needle - just go to a carpet shop and grab a couple of offcuts of a decent wool carpet and you're halfway there.

Some more on vintageknowledge.co.uk.

Thanks for those links, particularly the list of trimmers as I've got a classic that could use a little interior titivation...
I've just had a chat with my local carpet shop and they will cut my selected carpet to shape using my existing OEM mats and 'whip' the edges using wool for £1 a foot !
Result.
The collective mega-brain that is Pistonheads will always come through ! wink

Whats wrong with the manufacturer OEM carpet mats? They are always the best imo.

Depends which ones you buy, I went for the luxury carpet set and they have the leatherette stitched edging.

They look nicer in the flesh but here are some pics.....

Complete with OEM floor fixings:-

Not used them personally but they're a good company according to the Jaguar Forums.
