Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can advise me on the following re: Z4M:

I was trying to do abit of testing with the car and when I tried to "max out" the rev counter I realise I am not able to rev the car at more than 6,000 rpm. Once it reached 6,000 the throttle seems to cut off and the rev indicator will bounce between 5,700 - 6,000 rpm - ie. the car's throttle has "maxed out". Note the car was stationary - gear in neutral.

Has anyone tried revving your car? Do you have the same problem as me? Is this normal?

Sorry if this is a stupid quesiton.

Thank you very much for your time.

I think you'll find this is a normal feature.

yes you cant rev above a certain level when stationary, but if you accelerate you can go all the way to the red line.

Not really a good idea to hit the rev limiter with no load on the engine.
