I'd appreciate a bit of help here as im trying to sort fact from fiction;

1. Have any speed 12's been made for private customers?

2. If not, how many road cars have been made? because i know there are some and if theyre not for private use then what?

3. Also if not, when are any going to be made for private customers? As i thought a requirement of running in the GT was that production cars must be made and sold.

Cheers lads.

We had this discussion a while ago and I think the outcome was:

1. Not that anyone knows of or will admit to.

2. 1 road car I think it was as the Silver one was resprayed Red.

3. On asking my dealer a while back, he said yes, if I wanted one (and had the £120K odd) they would put a factory order in. They are in the price list, although so is the Tuscan R (but then I think there have been orders for that as well)

HTH

Cheers for that, sorry to make you go through it again but ive only just got round to joining the forums after having visitied this site for over a year.

1 more question tho, if the speed 12's arent in production how do TVR get around the GT rules about entering production cars?(and the tuscan R's as well for that matter)

Do you mean the Speed 12 or the Cerbera Speed 12.

I am no expert on homologation, but does the availibility of the Cerbera as a road car allow TVR to run the Cerbera Speed 12 in the GT series?

Touring cars, although the external dimensions cant change are allowed to run with an engine thats (obviously) not available to the public so maybe thats how it works.

I am sure one of the more in depth GT fans here can enlighten us further.

Matt.

I was just wondering how they managed to get around the rules if they havnt made any actual customer cars, i was talking about the Cerby Speed 12. If that and the Tuscan R can race without being in production........there must be some sneaky rule-bending thing going on.....
