Hello All,

I've had my Audi S4 (2004) for approx 2.5 months, during this time the car has been fantastic, everything I expected. However, since owning it I've poured in approx 1.5 litres of oil each month?
There is no oil leaking from the engine, and, as far as I can see the car doesn't smoke at all?
Is this normal.....

I'd really appreciate your feed back on the above.

Thanks in advance,

Regards Danny.

How many miles have you covered in that period?

VW Audi will deem upto 1 litre per 600 miles to be normal. I'd say that's a little too much but 1 litre per 1,000 wouldn't be unheard of.

Quite normal with these (its to do with AVS servicing and manufacturing tolerances)
Odd thing however some cars use more than others, could easily be due to treating the car too gently during bedding in. They seem to bed in better and use less oil if driven quite hard from getgo.

Mine probably only uses 1 litre every 4 to 5K miles but as said before they do seem to vary.
