Removing Door Mirror Casings - A4 B7?

Hi Guys

Can anyone advise on how to remove the door mirror casing on an A4 B7, I presume you have to remove the mirror but how do you do that without breaking the mechanism or glass?

Any help much appreciated

You have to grasp the edges of the mirror glass and pull very hard !! You may think they are going to break But they dont ! If You have heated ones disconnect the wires Then remove two screws from the bottom of the mirror casing Then the cassing pulls upwards and off ......................

thanks - does it matter which edge?top, right left etc....?

Not realy try left and right first Its easy once Youve done one !!!! Are You fitting Ally cases ??
