Honda are doing a feasability study of bringing over the Integra Type-R to the UK in 2004!!

It should cost about £16,000 (about the same as the Civic) which is a lot less than an import!

I am getting excited!

Sounds good, but I thought you could import them for less that 16K......

Excellent. I would seriously consider chopping in my CTR for a blue one. The LSD that was in my old ITR was the nuts, and traction was awesome with it. I think that it's the only thing really missing in the current CTR, it's about the only mod I'm considering.

integra body + iVTEC + LSD = happy foggy

Where did you hear this by the way?

Mmm - that sounds very tempting.

A number of companies will import RHD to the UK - for example www.litimports.co.uk/integra.html

Import would be left hand drive, as IIRC they are California only, not even the nips get them, I may get one of these though..........

Really? What's wrong with one from Japan?

16k will be for RHD and new with full warrenty from new, as opposed to 5-10k miles. Having an ATR i would be interested, as the lack of LSD is the only thing keeping me away from the CTR, as well as the qestionable build quality!

Hope they do launch the car ofically on the UK. Better have LSD though.

After my current car there are no other Honda's I actually want (apart from the NSX) so I'd be moving on to something different if the DC5 doesn't come to the UK.

Exactly the same reasons I have kept clear of the CTR! I haven't ever really replaced my Integra Type R, fantasic cars! Bulletproof mechanics and fantasic handling that don't break the bank!

The only thing that has recently stopped me from buying an import, was the parts. Just imagine how long it could be off the road if some numpty drove into me!!! If they make it to the UK I wont even hesitate to buy one...

...providing it's the same spec as the japanese car. LSD 200+ bhp etc

Ok, I'll keep it simple: I DID NOT KNOW THE JAPANESE HAD THE NEW INTEGRA, I THOUGHT IT WAS USA ONLY

Ah.

No. Although I haven't worked out why it's called a RSX in the states....

Honda has a funny policy in their Acura sub-brand. All Hondas in th US have names- Civic, Accord etc (with the S2000 mucking that idea up) and all Acuras have a letter designation, RL being our Legend, TSX being the Euro Accord, and the RSX being the Integra.

Snob value I suppose but still the same car.
