Does anyone know how to raise the volume that comes through the speakers when using the telephone?? It is connected via bluetooth and i have AMI if that helps. For some reason mine has gone very low to a level that is barely audible.

I have searched through the manual bur cannot find anything to help, i have spoken to the dealer and they said "its easy, its in the manual" but couldnt tell me the page (i dont actually think its in there).

Also my phonebook doesnt show on the display, it simply says "no entries available".

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

What phone are you using? Some functions on some phones are restricted due to the software, contact your dealer for an up to date compatibility list.

When your actually in a call turn the volume up. Failing that try looking though the MMI options.

But I did one the other day and just turned the volume on the steering wheel.

Failing that, Its all in the handbook.

Didn't the sales executive show you this in the hand over??

Phone book issues normal due to the handset you are using not being totally compatible. Dealer should be more helpful, I'm always showing people how to pair phones etc. I had to show a someone how to turn up the voice of the sat nav the other day.

Go through the MMI

Radio> sound> volume settings> telephone volume.

Or use the volume control when making a call.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes the dealer did show me, yes it did used to be controlled via the steering wheel but for some reason that stopped. It is the new Samsung 8gb camera phone. Apparantly Samsung are not the best in Audis??

I took it to the dealers today and we simply reset it back to the factory settings and it is ok again now.

I scoured through the handbook and couldnt find anything. You are right about the compatability issue. It drives me mad, some days the phone book will show but others it wont. There isnt a cradle avaailable for my phone yet.
The sat nav is easy to turn up apparantly according to the service guy, i dont have it so cant comment.

I had this problem and it was down to a telephone module problem. Module was replaced, all well and good. Also my A6 had a recall for phone software which was sorted this month.

Samsung should be fine in the Audi, my old Samsung E900 worked excellently in the A6 as did my Dad's old SonyEricsson K750i, his current LG Viewty is only good for making/recieving calls as isn't fully compatible but my newer Samsung Soul U900 is.

Yes it is via the bluetooth. The volume control stopped working for the phone until i did the system reset. It all seems fine now.
