Has anyone fitted an SD1 vitesse 'twin plenum'
to a TVR? If so was there any major benefit?

I spoke to Chris Schirle in the 80s about the twin plenum. He explained that they didn't make much difference below about 7,000 revs. So you need the bottom end and the bottle to make use of them.

i fitted a tp to my vitesse engine in my stag along with a piper fast road cam, rovertec ecu, the result is a confirmed 220bhp with no head work from a 3.5!. Now i am in the process of fitting a 4ltr griff engine with the tp on top and using the same injection set up. Then as a comparison i shall fit the hot wire system that has a mark adam chip.
i will post the results.

It will make a difference in the same way a 72mm throttle will - they need to be set up properly and you may well need a re-map to get the full advantage.

(I have a TP Vitesse)

I did it...as did one other guy and mine is now going into another Griff in Scotchland.

Advantages???

More torque,
Stays with original look (as opposed to a carbon one)
Stronger than Carbon one
Better mid range torque than std
similar gains to twin carbon, tripple gain a bit more.

No huge gains in power, but throttle response really improves.

Cheapest way to go, and stay with original injectors but upgrade the fuel reg to give another (from memory) 6psi.

As you can see...I went a bit "blue" biggrin
