TVR's in Cyprus?

Was thinking the same thing a little while ago, I don't think there are any cos I asked some of my family there about it when I bought mine and the ones that knew about TVR said they've never seen or heard of one over there.
I planned on taking mine there at the end of a european tour, but just thought it was a little too far away
I just wanted to see their faces when I drive a Cerbera off the boat at Limassol 
Why?, are you thinking about taking your's there?
They would go bonkers if they see one, I tell you that for sure.
Please don't tell me you're moving there with a TVR cos I'll be well jealous!!!

This post is making me very upset.
What I'd give right now to chill on the beach all day, eat that lovely food and sip a nice KEO beer til the sun goes down, I miss my island very much
I suppose having the Cerbera makes living and working here all worth while.

Any one considering setting up a TVR dealership in Cyprus, I'm coming with ya!!

Just to let you know my damn son flew out to Cyprus this morning. Boo hoo hoo.
He has gone to stay with his Grandmother who lives there, don't like her much either.
sulking in the corner now!
Oh and I haven't seen any out there either. How would you get parts and servicing done in an emergency.
the roads outside the main towns are definitely not for TVR's.
Most locals drive 4 wheel drives for a good reason.
Mums car is set low and she is always having to park and walk or go with friends.
Apparently it was raining there yesterday!
Still warm though!

Saying that though, the new road systems like the one between Larnaca and Limassol, there's hardly anyone on it and on some occasions would be ideal for some high speed TVR action
And if you know someone in the Police, even better

However, on the way back, before the engine cut out completely, we saw a lovely red MGB near Neon Chorion, to the west of Polis. Don't know they managed to get it around without grounding out.

My brother-in-law took his Caterham out to Cyprus for his 18 month tour last year (well, strictly speaking, the RAF took it out there for him in the back of a Herc). I still break out in a cold sweat when I recall the trip back down from Troodos station in the bloody thing...full-on nutter mode; overtook *everything* on the way up the mountain, and did the same on the way back down.....this being on the original scary-windy-mountain-road-with-bloody-great-chasm-at-one-side.
I would think most Tivs would need a cooling upgrade to cope with the heat in the summer - we fitted a factory-supplied race radiator to the 7, which managed to keep it out of the red.

Been going to Cyprus many times for the past 29 years and wasn't til 1990 we managed to tempt the journey across this part of the Island...........IN A BLOODY CLAPPED OUT RENAULT 9
not my choice of vehicle BTW but dad found it I think, the funny thing was that a little way into the journey a Pajero came towards us with a look of shock on their faces, then we were confronted with a rock the size of Gibraltar, "Dad, better turn back chap and put us out of our misery" Never did go back there!
the new road through to Pafos is also good, but the Police are very keen.
By the way, those 4 wheel drive things are the pick up type and you just have to have the latest fashion accessory - a cement mixer - in the back.
In fact Mum looked at a Beemer when she was buying her car and the lady in the garage said you do not need anything that powerful as you would fall off the island.

TVR MADS have sold two Chimaeras to service people in Cyprus in 1999 and 2000. In addition TVR Engineering sold two Griffiths into Cyprus, circa 1994/5. The service people are back in UK I understand, but I don't know what happened to the earlier cars. There was a feature in one of the Sprints about owning and running a TVR in Cyprus circa 2000/1.

Was it a (rare) 2-0 litre Tasmin, with the TVR logo stitched into the seats? Chatted with the owners of that one when I saw it parked outside a motor accessories/tuning shop in Limassol about 6 years ago. At that time I was in contact with a Chimaera owner in Nicosia and a Griffith 500 owner in Limassol.
I recall at the National Show in Nicosia in 2001,a Dealer had both Chimeras and Elises; I have to say that I have not seen a TVR on the road here.
Exotica are rare, an XJR Covertable costs around UK£180,000! but I have seen a Diablo, Testarossa, 6Litre XJR and we even have a black Cayenne - even uglier at the front than it is at the rear!!!
