Or proper winter tyres!

Drove 500 km in pretty bad conditions, and the M5 dealt with it in style on the 17" OE winter tyres (235/45/17).

RWD is rubbish in the snow. Last year I was nearly stuck in the Z4M three times on a 10mile journey home. I have driven in serious snow for years and was surprised at how little would cause the Z4 trouble.
