I'm looking at changing/overhauling my brakes - front mainly - as my caliper is sticking at times.
Are there options for bolt on upgrades. The TVR chimp or griff maybe or will ford mondeo or sierra provide a suitable direct replacement.
The brakes are pretty good standard so if its a headache i will just renew the originals.

Advice / experiences greatly recieved.

Give Hansdaal a call (not sure how to do a link to his profile) he supplied me with an upgrade for my S3C which works brilliantly using escort/sierra cosworth calipers and discs, can't go wrong.
cheers.....Tony..

Hans' kits are apparently very good and bolt straight on but will set you back a bit. However, although I have yet to fit them (too cold this weekend), I have obtained a set of XR4x4 calipers which I've overhauled for under £60 (all in inc delivery at £12 and the spare overhaul parts) and new discs and pads for a further £50 (good quality too but not drilled/grooved as I don't think its necessary for my use) which upgrades the front system to 260mm, or the same as the Griff/Chim. These just bolt straight on. The full story will be on my website when complete.

To find the second hand calipers I spent ages searching but then decided to search fleabay for whole cars and emailed a few advertising cars for breaking and/or sale as spares - there are lots around.

BTW if you decide to stick with originals I may have a caliper or two going spare soon (with fairly new discs and a new set of pads)whistle
