I couldnt help but notice how much you can get for your money at the moment, as far as RS6's go. I currently run a Subaru STI so I i'm not put off by high running costs.

I just wanted to know what they are like to run day to day. Whats the service costs like and are you likely to get 20mpg out of one. Are there any regular problems to look out for, or things that go wrong. I heard something about the suspension being an issue?

Any advice appreciated.

I've heard of expensive gearbox failures and turbos blowing as well.

These would be in the stratosphere of maintenance costs compared to a wrx.

Hi

I'm currently thinking of joining the RS6 club also - key is to ensure you get the best one you can for you money and find a good independent to maintain / check it over, I do know one if your interested.. Ensure the cam belt changes have been done and get the DRC checked out both major money to sort.. Maintenance isn't a bank buster, but it will need ongoing consumables (tyres, brakes) but no more than your STI if driven like you stole it!..

I know a guy how has got one and it's done 100k + without issue and they don't half go.. smile

DON'T DO IT ........

I had one that was 18months old and it was a nightmare if you want to drive it properly it will fall apart suspension is very problematic nowhere near as strong as an older Audi or a BM

They are cheap for a reason..
