As most of you know I am into bikes. Many of the people I used to ride with now only race or keep their bikes for track days only because of the police and our crap roads etc.

My latest Superbike mag gets posted and there on page 6/7 is an article telling us that the anti-fun brigade are now moaning about us doing trackdays. The 3 tracks mentioned in the article are Donington, Castle Combe and Thruxton. BUT, as it says in the mag other tracks will follow as one council tends to follow the other.

At the mo Donnington is having to strictly enforce (in fear of being shut down, despite its £1.2 million rates bill)a 98db noise limit. I they fail to comply with this, a 95db may be introduced .....most road legal bikes would break that.

What is up with those twats - they have recently bought one of those new houses near a race track (and in Donington's case next to an airport as well) and are now moaning about the noise......are they stupid ??

Even if you are not into bikes, there are plenty of our cars that can break that noise limit.

Castle Coombe has a very strict noise limit which is rigourously enforced.
Why? Ex Defense Secretary Lord Tom King owns a house about a mile from the circuit that's why.
Apparently somebody took an ex turbo F1 car and had the audacity to drive it before breakfast and this upset Mrs (sorry Lady) King and since then Castle Coombe has had a strict noise limit.

The F**kin w**nkers that run our councils are our own fault as we are not prepared to stand against them.

I did a circuit day at Donington Park this year and they had to pull over an old Dodge Challenger due to noise and smoke. However it was difficult to hear the cars over the roar of the aircraft landing a mile or so away, especially as an A340 Airbus was doing circuits and bumps all bloody afternoon !
