Anyone seen this? Cant believe the EVO can do 30 to 130 in 6 secs, they claim it can.....but I guess it would be a good test against one of the bigger Ultimas? Anyone?

That Evo has 800+ HP and weighs about the same as an Ultima. It's not slow....

Those figures suggest pure race preparation and far removed from road specs.
Also , thats 300 kilo lighter than the standard car -thats an imense weight loss for anything but a serious race prepped car.

Simon's car is far from standard (but in a very good way)

his current setup....notice the way the enguine is facing....

The above setup (old one) proved to have a VERY solid engine that lasted over 2 years of hard use. the gearboxes however didn't hence the move to the north south engine setup. this enable Simon to use Skyline running gear ahich is proven to well over 1000bhp.

That Nitto tire comes in a Drag Radial version. It hooks up really well and has very soft rubber. I ran them on my Cobra and they are great tires for drag racing. Having them on all 4 tires in an Evo with plenty of power would be really fun.

I think that Si's evo 9 swb would smoke just about every ultima on here. I know the factory 720 is a rocket but it cant do 0-150 in 8.0secs like the evo. NO WAY.....

I think it's a promotional product for his company.

Impressive still. Cost is way more than any Ultima I know of I believe.....

Can't compare Ultimas or any other quick car to this kind of thing.

I think the biggest boosted Ultimas run around 1600bhp, I think that would be enough in a car weighing 1,000kg although its traction thats the problem ....
