Britcar: CDL T400R at Brands
TVR not done for 2003 yet
Countdown Developments aka CDL Racing are not finished for 2003 just yet. Despite the British GT series having concluded for the year, team boss Bert Taylor wants to take their T400R out for a couple of races at Brands before the year is out.
The team will compete in the EERC Britcar series at Brands this coming weekend with Gareth Evans tackling the 100 minute race to get him more time in the car.
Bert told us "I've always wanted to do a Britcar race, and Gareth needs to get as much track time in the car as possible. I went to the Britcar night race at Donington, and liked what I saw. James Tucker wants us to fit a 37mm restrictor, and we're not sure what that will do to the engine, but, no matter what, we'll be there".
CDL also plan to contest the final Britcar race, also at Brands Hatch, on November 22nd, which will run into the darkness.

Hi P, they didn't get going. 8 mins into a 30min qualifying session, Gareth ended up going straight on a Clearways causing the session to red flagged while the car was recovered. Not too sure of the damage to the car, Bert could tell you more. They packed straight up and left the paddock. Shame really as with the Insane racing Tuscan not racing either it was left to TopCats to uphold the TVR honour, 4th overall and 3rd in class. top job !! not that i'm biased
