Sram X-9 jockey wheels.
Discussion
I'm in need of a new bottom jockey wheel for my X-9 mech but im a bit pained to pay 15 bucks for a kit as I recently replaced the top one with bits from a broken mech.
A friend reckons you can run X-7 bottom wheels which are half the price but they seem different in the pictures ive seen?
Anyone tried it? Anyone got any suggestions for renewing these? Are there any aftermarket wheels out there?
Cheers!

The bottom wheel is essentially superfluous, as long as the chain isn't falling off or jamming then just keep using it, top one can affect shifting though so it's worth keeping it right.
It used to be the case that shimano jockey wheels were universal across the range (apart from materials etc) I would be very surprised if SRAM are daft enough to make one off components for low volume mechs, it's probable that any 9sp jockey will be the right width. Personally I would just bodge on something out of the spares box, i'm sure it's nothing nothing a file/hammer couldn't fix

The top and bottom ones are different so a kit wouldnt make a replacement and a spare.

Whilst it still worked, my bottom wheel wore out in 12 months of use, I've just replaced the top one after 18 months so I suspect that it's worth buying a pack as both will be needed at some point.
