Winter jobs, One ticked off the list

Sorted one thing today that has been bugging me for a while, my rather chipped badge.



So decided to take it off and repaint it.


It looks chipped due to the flash of the camara will be less shiny when the gloss varnish drys. Then it can have a couple of coats of clear laquor to stop stone chips

How did you manage to get the badge off?

open service bonnet and theres 2 8mm bolts at the bottom, be carful as mine were rusted to hell so they may snap. Once they are both off pull at the badge, I had to wiggle it from side to side as the rust had built up around the holes.

Oh right, I had never checked to be honest, just assumed it was one of those glue on jobs as usual.

May have to take on that job shortly as well.
