Recomend me a game? (360)

Hi guys, Looking for a new game for the 360, So far i only have Forza2 and PGR4, so looking for something a little different.

Been recomended Fable2, anyone got it? Any good?

What else are you all playing? I'd rather have a game that will last me a few months than something novel i'll play a couple of times then leave to rot!

If you want something to consume all your free time then get either Fallout 3 or Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, you won't need to buy a new game for months if you get one of those two!

Fable2 is quite fun - if a little easy. Fallout 3 is amazing, but I've only played the PC version and not the 360 one.

If you want on-line battling COD4/5 is the best for the PH clan battles. We're getting double figures quite often now.

You have to get GTA IV, its a phenomenal game and also a grower, and you also need Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Epic games.....

Well I'm unemployed, and get my last wage for a while for this week, so will only be getting one.

Fallout3 looks good, but so does Fable2.

GTA is a pretty outdated concept imo, so i think i'll give it a swerve until a time where i can borrow a copy to make sure its a worthy purchase!

Can someone explain to me the appeal of Fallout3? I'm sure it is a fantastic game, but I don't get it. I played it for about 3 hours the other day, but didn't really feel like I got anywhere. I feel obliged to talk to everyone but that in itself seems to take ages. I'd love to enjoy the game more - what am I missing?

It just might not be for you, I wanted to talk to everyone in order to work out what they might want, or to get information from them. You're clearly seeing that as a barrier to the shooting and killing, maybe a more traditional FPS would be a better choice.

The point of the game is to get caught up in everything and maybe spend an hour or two just exploring and not advancing the game, don't see it as a waste of time, more immersing yourself in the world.

Depends what kind of game you like.

GT IV will keep you going for a while, it's very good.

Gears of War is amazing, if you haven't played it before you should (you can get it cheap now on the budget label). Not very long though.

Oblivion is also amazing, I'd never been into RPGs until I played that. You can also get the Game of the Year edition cheap now too.

The Orange Box; Half-Life 2, Episode1 & 2, Team Fortress (great multiplayer) and a great mini-game called Portal - that would keep you going for a while

I just bought Dead Space which is turning out to be good.

Yep, same here. I'd never even played an RPG until Oblivion, I just thought they were all like Final Fantasy. I bought Oblivion on the day of release and still play it now and again now, probably the best game I've ever played.

Gears of War 2 - First one was good, this one is much better and an excellent shoot em up.

Oblivion - warning you can sink 200+ hours into this game and still be no where near the end. Fallout 3 is similar idea but a lot smaller.

Fable 2 - Groovy if a little easy, from what I've heard.

Halo 3 - Good single player but great online multiplayer.

Bio shock - rpg/shoot em up very cool and cheap now !


I guess it really depends on what you expect from a game, personally speaking I'd spend 45 quid on Bio shock, Oblivion and Gears/Halo 3.

I've done the second one, and while it was great, I think the first one edges it as the better game. I found some of the 'set pieces' a bit lame (such as riding on the rig, and the Reever).

Horde multiplayer on 2 is excellent though!

For me it would have to be GTA IV or Orange Box.
