My web site is nearing completion, and i need to have the ability to recieve payments over the net. Can anyone advise/recommend what is the best way to do this? Should i employ the paypal system or is there a better and more effective solution? The payments are going to be for about £50 each if it is relevant.

Thanks in advance

If you can give us a better idea of your target audience and product then it would help however I would say that paypal is a bit crap unless you are going for the ebay market. The issue is that unless people are familiar with it they are unlikely to go to the trouble of setting up an account@@

Integrate with worldpay or netbanx or someone or directly with the bank if you can justify it.

@@ A former workmate had £4000 scammed from his credit card via a paypal or the like account, it seems that he was on a customer site when he set the account up (big bluechip customer) and thinks that someone scanned the account details off a proxy server and sold them on.

Tsk tsk

Interesting venture. I'm surprised that there's a market for this though given the proliferation of such sites on the net. Isn't that what www.topmarques.co.uk is with the benefit of a printed mag too?

He would do, we've integrated a few websites with epdq and it seems pretty good, straightforward (piece of piss says my development team).
